〜てください is a polite request meaning 'please do.' It uses the て-form of the verb plus ください.

Explanation
〜てください is formed by adding ください to the て-form of a verb: 食べて + ください = 食べてください (please eat), 見て + ください = 見てください (please look).
This is the standard way to make polite requests in Japanese. It can be softened further by adding もらえませんか: '教えてもらえませんか' (Could you please teach me?).
To ask someone NOT to do something, use 〜ないでください: 'ここで写真を撮らないでください' (Please don't take photos here).
