Because (~node)
〜ので
~ので gives an objective reason or cause — 'because' or 'since' — and is softer and more polite than ~から.
Pattern
Verb (plain form) + ので | i-adj + ので | na-adj + なので | Noun + なので
Explanation
~ので is used to express a reason or cause, meaning 'because' or 'since.' It presents the reason as an objective fact rather than a personal justification, making it softer and more polite than ~から. It is preferred in formal speech, business situations, and when speaking to superiors.
It follows the plain form of verbs and i-adjectives, na-adjective + な, and noun + な. In polite speech, ~ですので and ~ますので are also used.
~ので cannot be followed by commands, strong requests, or volitional expressions in formal writing (though this rule is relaxed in casual speech). For those situations, ~から is more appropriate: 暑いから窓を開けてください is more natural than 暑いので窓を開けてください.
